I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Kevin "Jack" FROST passed away on Sunday 8/2/2026.
He was one of the [1967 “Lizard”] founding members of 3 Squadron when it was re-formed with the Mirage under the command of Vance DRUMMOND (later Jake NEWHAM, after Vance disappeared whilst flying).
Jack was an ELECFITT and had worked on Vampires, Meteors and then Bloodhound Missiles before joining 3 Squadron.
Jennifer Frost (wife of Kevin) also passed away earlier in January and her funeral was on the 23rd of January 2026.
“Jack” was one of the integral people in the Mirage Squadron. He was my father Lindsay’s best mate and it’s a friendship that developed to be more like them being brothers. Linz was Jack’s mentor on the Mirage.
The funeral for the late, great, Warrant Officer Kevin “Jack” Frost was held at Mayfield [Newcastle] on Monday 23 Feb.
At the funeral, 3SQN Warrant Officer Engineer Paul RICHARDS represented 3SQN. Ten members of the Williamtown Sergeants Mess also attended, as a mark of respect and the high esteem in which Jack was held.
